I love going to Dave N Busters, but refuse to eat here. It's okay, overpriced chain food. Service is slow, food sometimes comes out cold, and it's never worth it. They change the games so it's harder to earn tickets too. Also, a lot of the parents let their children run freely here and most of the time they are rude and don't care you're waiting for a game. I'd rather pay full price then deal with those little boogers during half off Wednesday's. There isn't any time that isn't kids free- as parents bring their children even after curfew hours. It's too bad this is now a Chuck E Cheese

--- A CASINO for Kids! --- We visited on a Wednesday afternoon during the summer, and this was my first visit to a Dave and Busters. All I can say is WOW, concerning the large layout of the game floor / nice high ceilings / nice lighting + signage. This D

Food was decent! Wait time wasn't bad AT ALL for a late Sunday afternoon. The mango cooler/chiller was really good. I had the mango shrimp skewers (it comes with rice & broccoli- the rice is VERY spicy -- which I like, some don't). My boyfriend had a turkey BLT and fries, he seemed to like the fries- he said the sandwich was alright. Our waiter and the helpers at the door were nice! The kid they have working the "prize" or ticket counter was kind of rude, but he was a kid, I think. Anyway, overall we had pretty good service and decent food. We had fun!

There is a Dave's and Busters in Hawaii, I went to it twice. Wasn't too impressed. This however impressed me more. Went for a surprise birthday party with a couple of people from hubby's work. I was positively surprised by the menu, both the regular and the kids one. So much food. Yes, the typical "american" menu with burgers and such but sometimes you just can't go wrong with some nachos ;) we did however not order that. I went for the bacon wrapped sirloin with grilled shrimp, came with over roasted potatoes and vegetables. It was yummy. The sirloin was perfect and super tender. Husband went for the ultimate mac n' cheese in which I (who hates mac n cheese) probably ate half hehe. The little one got pretzel dogs with rice, the rice went down rather quickly but she was struggling with the hot dogs which I later discovered was because they really weren't that good. I wanted the yummy layered whatever chocolate thing after but we were already in the process of paying so I guess it wasn't meant to be. After that we went to play, daughter loved all the lights. So did little brother who was entertained by the lights more than anything. I can see how people get crazy here because it was fun, next time we're at lynnhaven mall i might just have to go in and play a little lol. Oh, can't forget to mention that the service was great. The waitress was alone with our party of 16 which was impressing. Overall it was a great night.

Not my first rodeo with a Dave & Buster's, but it was my first time at this particular location. Hubby and I met up with a couple of friends and overall we had a pretty decent night. We did NOT play any games (I know boo!!) but we enjoyed drinks and the food. The red sangria is pretty good, however I was disappointed that there was SO MUCH ICE in my drink. OK I got it. Alcohol isn't cheap by any means. However it was pretty ridiculous how much ice there was and how little sangria I received. Next time the waitress came by I asked for another one but with less ice. I got what I asked for...and IMO a weaker drink. Hmm. The food was pretty good. I didn't have any high expectations whatsoever when it came to their food just because 1) it's a chain and 2) it's a gaming place...not really somewhere I set out expecting a gourmet meal. But I was surprisingly somewhat impressed. The wings were standard with the not so special buffalo sauce but were still good nonetheless. The spinach dip was alright but the star of the appetizers were the nachos. Yummy! I ordered the ribs and wings combo with their "seasoned" fries. The ribs were ok, sauce was eh..(I wouldn't enter that sauce into any BBQ competition), but the fries were definitely no where close to being seasoned. Hubby ordered the cajun pasta dish. I tasted it and IMO you could taste more flour than sauce...cut back on the thickener guys. Anyways, the food did take a while to come out but I expected that. It was a pretty decent sized crowd last night! We waited for about 10 minutes for a party of 6. Afterwards I would say it was about a 30 minute wait between appetizers and entrees, so not too bad. Our waitress did a pretty good job last night however despite the wait time. Overall, I'd come back. It's something to do in the area and I definitely want to beat the crap out of my husband in the arcade next go round.

Ok, for months and months I have heard from people that I need to check out the cool and exciting Dave & Buster's so while on vacation in Virginia Beach, the family and I decided to try it out. We walked into the restaurant looking forward to the experience and went to the front counter and stated we have never been before and the young lady behind the counter would much rather not have done anything or even talked to me or my family. We then went in and the young lady at the dining area away from the bar area stated that I could choose either but when I stated that the family wants to sit in the bar area to watch some of the sports on the TV she was disappointed it seemed. This must have been the case because it took about 25 minutes for anyone to even look our direction or offer drinks and/or menus. When the waitress finally came over to the table you could tell that the crew was hanging out or maybe it was a change in shift due to the time of day it was but she was preoccupied with other things. I asked for some recommendations and she just read off the menu .... that was about it not really any excitement or passion about the product that they were offering. The food was pretty plain and was more like a chain restaurant of course and was extremely overpriced for the wuality of the product that came. The only person that was excited about the food was my 10 year old son who was ecstatic about the huge burger he got. We then played video games and althought wasn't really about the wife and I and was more about our kiddo, it was really not that great but it sufficed. I am glad that I only got cards for my wife and son and not myself for the games because I would have completely thought it was not worth the dime. So, I am going to give two stars only for the fact that we referenced that it felt a little like Vegas and seemed exciting with great music playing with large TV's for any sports fan's dream but all the rest was pretty sub-par. Don't think we will be trying it again unless we go with a large group to keep it fresh and fun.

This is the perfect place to wind down and have fun weather you bring the kids or not. The food is good and they have a variety of games. The funnest place in Virginia Beach!

I just LOVE Dave & Busters. I'm like a kid so, Wednesdays are HALF off of games!! Whoo hoo!! Food is acceptable. I remember having a chicken dish one time that was good and I love their sweet potato fries. My cousin had her son's birthday party there and it was decent. Pretzel Dogs, Hamburgers, Fries, Unlimited soda, and Unlimited video game play on games with no tickets. $17.99/kid. Not sure if it included dessert or anything else as I had to leave early. I'll come with kids and/or without kids.

This is a huge open space with a casino like atmosphere. The games are a lot of fun but a bit pricey if you choose not to take advantage of one of their many deals. The food I would rate as 3 stars. It was ok but we don't feel the price was justified (steak taco and island trifecta)but the other 2 in the group enjoyed their food (pretzel dogs & chicken strips) The staff I would rate at 4 stars. They were amazing and very helpful! (Shout out to Nancy the waitress in the dining room and Dave in the arcade) All in all a good time was had by all and when it comes down to it...isnt that what its all about?

This is my third visit and I continue to not be really impressed. There are some aspects such as the game portion which are unique and cool if your into that. If your going to D&B someone in your party is. However, the food end of the business is lackluster. As well as I experienced a few service issues on this visit. The dining room areas from what I could see where all ready to go with opening. Clean and tidy every where I could see. Of course this is what one would expect minutes from opening. There large screen TV's every where turned to an assortment of sporting events. So it makes it a great venue groups and watching events on the tube. So today visit was with the kids and we started off with lunch at opening. Our waiter Fred attended to us nicely and there were no service issues. However the slider boneless chicken dish I had was barely at par. The hamburger meat was dry and the sauce on the wings did nothing for me. The fries were the best thing about the meal. My children liked there respective meals. My son a cheeseburger and my daughter a children's pretzel dog were both eaten and enjoyed. We added a power up card and super charged it for $3 more to the meal which seems like a better deal, they say it is. The kids enjoyed the games and only found that the game Operation did not work. I think that is okay considering the amount of maintenance required on the huge amount of square footage of electronics. There were areas where the carpeting was coming up and unraveling at the seams. Since they have so much foot traffic this is not surprising even with just being open over a year. The restrooms were in great condition and had supplies. There is a TV and some sort of game system box out of order over a urinal. I did not get it at all, so no clue what was up. The service issue was at the points redemption area. My daughter attempted to get help and no employees at the desk area. She came and got me and there were two employees, one male and one female talking over in a side office area in the back. After several minutes of trying to figure out if they were the ones who should be helping the woman saw my daughter and came to assist. Later one after looking for around 15 minutes everyone was gone again when needed check out. A young male employee came and has his cell phone out. I have tried to be fair and average out three visits. I think a 3.5 is where they are, but rounding down. The dishes I had on last visit were stronger and I don't recall service issues at redemption area. My kids love all the games, but to be honest it is darn expensive and Chuckie Cheese is a much better bargin, especially for children 10&U who don't need the higher end games. No doubt Dave & Busters is slanted to an adult crowd with billiards, higher end video games and bar. I have put a tip on the system for parents to be cautious about the exit to the mall and watch your small children. I cannot see myself rushing back.

First time here for a kid party...really overwhelming with the size and NOISE. It's like Chuck E Cheese for the older crowd. It's large and full of games. The bar is nice for those just hanging out. Plenty of tables to sit and eat. The leftovers my son brought home were yum! You buy a package of 'tickets' to play the games. As you win tickets you can turn them in for a debit card thing that you cash in at the end for prizes in the store. Honestly, this place is fun. Not cheap. And it's super loud. I dropped off and picked up. if I were coming here I would need some tylenol before coming. However, I could see this as a date night! We will be back for more fun!

Not quite a 2015 review but close enough. My company had our Christmas party at Dave & Busters this year. I must say it's leaps and bounds better than the party they threw last year. This was my first time visiting D&B since they opened at a location in HRVA. The place is huge and takes up a large portion of what used to Montgomery Ward in Lynnhaven Mall. Upon walking in the door there's a desk where you can speak to a host/hostess and from there you enter the main area. Again, the place is huge. There's a large bar / restaurant area right when you enter. Off to the right is also a large dining area, that also has a couple of pool tables. This is what our company rented for the evening. Dinner was served off a large buffet table that ran almost half the length of our area. In addition to that there was a desert buffet in the back of our area and a floating bar. The area is big enough that none of these serving areas throughout our reserved space ever became to crowded. The meal consisted of quite a few items. There was tuna fish, chicken, meatballs, potato wedges, some veggies, etc... I was kind of neutral on the meal. It was good food, but no real zest to any of the dishes. Makes sense though. play it safe, and appeal to the masses. Last but not least was the games. This isn't your traditional arcade, if you're a child of the 80's you know what I mean. These are big loud machines that spit out tickets... The more tickets you get, the better the prize you can get in the D&B Store that's located on the side of the arcade area. There's all kinds of machine from networked racing games, dancing games, flight simulators, shooters... The works! I even found a Galaga machine. (more my speed). All in all a fun time and a great place to go for a party / event.

Me and my husband went here for the first time on a Friday night. It was 9pm and we were looking for a place to eat and have a few drinks. The parking lot was very full and the music outside was loud. I was worried that it was going to be too busy to get good service. I was wrong! We sat at the bar and immediately got to order drinks. We first got the over and up shots (I think that's why it's called) and it came with a glass to take home (AWESOME). We were able to order food through our bartender. We shared the pretzel dog appetizers and the Philly cheesesteak. The food was the bomb! After dinner and a generous about of drinks, we hit the games. Overall, it was a great night!! Not easy on your wallet but a nice indulgence every once in a while. We have friend that go on Thursday night and say there karaoke but not positive since We haven't gone yet.

It's so loud in here, I left with a headache after 2 hrs. I personally think there should be an age limit of 9 and up...too many strollers on the game floor those kids should be at C.E.C IMHO. Plenty of adult pleasantries ie: beer, wine, pool I watched the news while in the restroom! we had a great time, I bought my son the $25 card which was equivalent to 130 tokens each game averaged 6 tokens so he played quite a bit of games with that card. I didn't get to try the food but I will on my next visit.

You know I had a solid experience at D&B's, made better by an exceptional waiter. So, start off, we were here to register for a race. But figured, let's get dinner and get in some video games. Dinner first, solid offerings of your traditional pub fare. What really made it work for us was a very comical, personable and attentive waiter. The food was good enough to make it a three star experience, the service bumped it up. Onto the arcade scene. First, I'm a child that grew up in the 80's, so I know arcades, I basically lived there. The unfortunate reality is, those days are gone. Now you've got hundreds of machines whose sole purpose is to turn your cash into crappy trinkets. $40 netted us a stuffed pig, some neon note pads, a squishable wall clinging pig, and a stuffed Eagle. All in all, a decent haul, but certainly not $40 worth. BUT, we did have a good time. The competitive Pac-Man machine (which oddly awards zero tickets) was certainly a highlight. If you've got a little rage in you, try the Kung-Fu Panda game, seriously, satisfying. All in all, it's a tidy package for a night out with the family.

I super love this place, the fun spirit and happy ambience makes me a little kid again. This is the kind of place that I can stay the whole day and play and forget once in a while that I am already an adult. I like the combination of video arcade and full service restaurant. I honestly thought its brilliant and totally creative. Family and children can both enjoy at the same time. I strongly believe that this place is ideal for any occasion. Birthday's and costume party is a perfect example of a gathering that you may hold at this place. Expect this place could be really loud. Of course, remind yourself it is an arcade...duhhh!!! If your not into noisy this place is not for you. Occasionally, I come here to watched games its more entertaining and interactive to watched in the big screen. A pint of cold beer and friends are the perfect combo. Customer service could be forgiving. Because the entire place is a big, the server may sometimes mixed up orders. However, the always come and check if everything is fine. I usually come here for drinks and some sort of play time. I haven't tried dining here yet but I am willing to try in future.

I've only been to a Dave & Busters once down in Florida. This place was so much fun!!! I got a $25 play card and played for 2 hours. The games were so much fun! My favorite game was super trivia. We all 6 sat around and just drank and burned them cards up! Fun for adults and kids! There are carnival games that were so fun too! Skiball is my JAM!!!! The only thing that kinda gave me a sour taste about this place were the drinks. I had a snow cone "adult" snow cone and it was 9$ and I didn't even get a buzz off of it. It did taste pretty good though. Life size fruit ninja was a blast too and cut rope. But super trivia was a blast with the gang. Oh yeah and you can save your tickets and buy appetizers so that's bad a$$.

I thought these places were suppose to be an adult playground with lots of cool games. Why are there kids everywhere you look? The games are plentiful but it never seems like there are enough for the amount of people that are there. There are TVs all over the dining area, which is cool because they play all the sports games and I can imagine it's a great place for football season. The food - the food is - boring and not that great. There were 4 of us and we ordered the nachos, which weren't bad but they didn't put enough queso on the chips and there were plenty of plain chips without anything on them. I had the quesadilla which was bland. My husband had the chicken tortilla soup, which was lackluster. Basically, everything we ate was lacking flavor. My brother-in-law ordered the bourbon burger, which he said wasn't that great. I defintely wouldn't come here for the food. If you want to play games, with kids under your feet, then this is the place for you.

What can I say, games and more games. I love seeing my mom play Deal or No Deal as if she's on the tv show( so dramatic). I opted to head into the mall for awhile. This place is always fun, food is good too.

Who doesn't love Dave and busters? This place was a lot of fun and the staff was very helpful and nice. The food was decent (what you expect from a Dave and busters) the beers were cold and the games were fun. I would go back 100%

Arrived just after 11am. Placed a drink order for an Arnold Palmer. I was seated with 3 friends. When the drinks came 10 minutes later, they had forgotten mine. It took another 10 minutes for them to bring out my drink. After half an hour we were able to place our orders. I order the cheese sticks, my friends ordered chicken fingers and fries. After another 30 minutes or so, we got our food. By the time we received our checks, we had been there an hour and forty-five minutes. This before being able to use any game cards in the game area. We were checked on once the entire time for drink refills. The service was slow and at times, unprofessional. It seems if you want to eat and play, you had better have 4 hours of time free.

The entire experience in all wasn't too bad. Drinks were in the more pricey side but was to be expected from a restaurant like that. The food took just a little too long to be prepped but again it was a Friday and was pretty busy. The food did taste great and the drinks were some of the best I've had at other restaurants in the 7 city area. The games were pretty fun and the prizes were nice for children and even adults. I would definitely go back again.

If I could give the one stellar employee I encountered 5 stars, I would & give this place a 1 overall, but I will settle at 2. We told them we were going to sit at the bar & our teenage children would sit at a table for my son's 18th birthday dinner. After waiting 2hrs for a table, they finally gave us one. After a minute the server was rude to my nephew, lied to her mgr, said they were causing a problem, when they were just waiting to be helped & not even talking. She rudely asked my son how he was gonna pay for the food, if he had a credit card. As if it was any of her business. They cancelled their food order without even telling us. People joined our party later & waited 30 minutes before they were even acknowledged. The kids ended up walking around, playing games. When another table opened up, no one EVER served them. When I asked someone walking by if he could take their order, he rolled his eyes, mumbled something & walked off. Finally I ordered food for my younger son from a bartender, JP you are awesome!! I had his food, boxed & paid for when the older kids just gave up & went back to playing. The people that sat down after them were helped immediately by 2 waiters! The $13 that I did spend on my 10yo, I tipped JP $8 on, which is more than 50%. Ignoring people with children, because you think they're bad tippers, etc, is IGNORANT. Bartenders & waiters have kids too. From someone who has worked 20 years in the industry, I was infuriated at the lack of service. I will NEVER return to a Dave and Busters. EVER. A party of 12 people should have been paid more attention to. The 5 adults in my party would have drank & spent several hundred on food, etc for ourselves & the children. It was my son's 18th birthday. Seriously. This DnB is poorly managed, under staffed & the employees need extensive training on FRIENDLY, attentive service. They wouldn't last a day in my restaurant, or my bar. I'd fire them. I never write reviews, but this just pissed me off. I've already posted several times to social media about my experience. Word of mouth can kill a business. I wish I would have researched before we went here. 3/5 stars would have kept us away. Next time I'll research first! If you just wanna play games, then go for it. Just don't expect friendly or attentive service.

Pretty awesome for my first time being here! The package deals were a little confusing at first, but the staff was more than happy to explain how it all went down! The food was really good for the price. Everything was cooked and seasoned the way that we wanted it. The atmosphere was awesome! We enjoyed ourselves the entire time that we were there. Made me feel like a kid again. I will definitely have to go back.

Games are good but when we presenting a 20 dollar coupon they asked if we would like to super charge it and they charged us full price and told me that is what it is if you want to super charge it. I am disatisfied with this place and will never come here again. They can not even honor there own coupons.

So, after all the commercials on TV, I finally got a chance to set foot in a Dave & Buster's. I came away a little surprised, but not overwhelmed by what it offers. Of course, they do need to get all the kinks worked out, but, for the most part, as busy as the place was, there didn't seem to be anyone freaking out or evidence of some catastrophe unfolding. There was a line at the door to get in (I was told it was due to fire marshal regulations for capacity), but it was orderly and moved along quickly. The lights, sounds, and mass of people can really make you feel dizzy. I was very thankful that there was an employee set up with a cash-only, mini-beer station (that cost less than the bar, surprisingly) in one of the open areas so I could avoid the hustle and bustle at the packed bars. He became the point person for all of my beers. The video game selections were pretty varied - old school and new stuff. Some were popular enough to garner their own participation line and some were so intriguing that I figured I would come back and play them when I could get some "study" time to figure out how to be proficient. Unfortunately, the engineer in me popped out and figured out the average cost for some of these games and I thought twice about getting a game card. Paying $0.70 for an old school game that should only cost $0.25 is a big pill for me to swallow. Some of the games (which you can easily download for free on a smartphone) cost upwards of $2.30 per play. Yeesh! The dining areas were pretty normal for a large scale, family oriented place. The food was good. Not extravagant, just good. However, the adornment of 70" televisions on the walls above the tables with extremely large, hanging lighting fixtures floating below them made for a completely useless sports-watching experience. Thus, unless the bar is available, I won't be watching any games here. The only other thing I have to mention is how nice the staff were. Top to bottom, from entrance to exit, there were smiles all around and people trying to ensure you had a good time. They know that for all the entertainment and food that they offer, it's their service that will sway a decision to host a party or event here.

This place is VERY nice and spacious!!! I'm giving this place 4 stars for the simple fact that I have NEVER seen a D & B this big and it was a good thing that they decided to put a D & B in Virginia Beach. Our waiter (Mike from Philly) was very friendly, he even sat at our table and talked to us for a good five minutes. He was talking about how he was there temporarily from Philly with the job and how the D & B was twice as big as this one. The way he explained it made me want to go to Philly and check out that D & B. The food was good, didn't get a chance to go play games though, my fault. No complaints here and I WILL be back!!! There was a line outside the door at about 9:30 on a Saturday, so get there early!

This was my first visit I was really impressed.would have given 5 stars but upon entering we were confused. We literally walked in a circle trying to figure out what we needed to do to get started. But after that it just got better. Surprisingly the food was awesome. Great portions also. We had fun with the games also. Prizes seem reasonable. My only other beef is this place is billed as an adult game place but there are always a good amount of kids...it won't stop me from going back. Our waitress was very friendly and informative.

Complete waste of time and money. Service was slooooooooow. I came in with a group of six. Thankfully I went to the mall food court ahead of time and got a sandwich at Chik-fil-a. It took a good seven or eight minutes to get our first round. We decided to just order two from there on out, which they let us do once, but not a second time. We weren't getting drunk or obnoxious, we just didn't like waiting 15 - 20 minutes to see from our server on a very slow friday. I also noticed they had a lot of bartenders, not that many bar guests, but drinks were going to the service well painfully slowly. The bartenders were too busy trying to flirt or run their mouths, or just stand around to try and make drinks for the tables. After a while, our meals came out, in couple rounds though everyone ordered together. It was nothing special. Mediocre chain food. It probably wont kill you, unless you're allergic to salt and preservatives. From there we migrated over to a pool table, at least some of us did. Our server never came over to the table to take drink orders, so we ended up tracking him down and finding a new, equally disinterested and slow server at the pool table. Going from the pool table to the games we got a nice little surprise. We played about 6 games of pool, and they charged us $36!!!! Anywhere you go with a coin table you're looking at between $1 and $2 a game. $6 a game? Seriously? Maybe.. just maybe if they had really high quality tables, but these were dirty and the felt was frayed around the pockets. At least the sticks were straight, but they only had 19 and 20oz sticks, and a couple others that had the tips broken off. Nothing to pay a premium rate for. Also, they promote this as a place for adults, but it's full of children and preteens.

Being my first time here. I had to take time and figure out my package. Christine who was working the front desk wasn't having a gd day and it showed, and she told the bouncer someone was "aggravating the fuck" HOPEFULLY not me w all my questions.....HOPEFULLY this wasn't going to set the tone I decided to just play and skip food since reviews weren't that great for food. I had a BLAST, I racked up more tickets than my kids!! And teased them waving my tickets highly. Of course they had a great time to. Everything was over in about an hour. $170 in an hour...For 6 ppl...Very pricey though

Food wasn't even close to the cost. Ordered ribs that tasted like vinegar & who would've thought it was so easy to mess up macaroni and cheese - it was more like onions and cheese. Overcooked salty shrimp. Bacon wrapped steak tasted like processed meat. The only good thing about the meal was the zucchini since that involved practically no cooking

I was extremely excited when I heard that they were opening a Dave & Buster's in Virginia Beach knowing that the closest location before was in Richmond. I've seen the commercials and heard nothing but wonderful things about it. I was ready to hit this place up ASAP! Two Sundays ago, my boyfriend and I finally decided to check D&B out to eat and then play. We were hungry (it was going to be a late lunch) and wanted to have some fun. We both have never been before, so we really didn't know what to expect when we got in there. As soon as we walked in, I thought the venue itself looked incredible, which made me feel even more excited. My boyfriend and I just sort of stood there near the entrance because we weren't really sure where to go to dine. Everyone at the front counter was helping someone, and there wasn't anyone else to really ask for help. So we decided to go ahead and try to figure it out ourselves. We found where we needed to be, and there were probably 5 or 6 waitresses (who, to my boyfriend, all looked lost) standing around. When we approached them, one of the girls asked us how many was in our party, and then told another girl "hey seat these two." LOL Man, that threw me off, and it immediately gave me a bad feeling already. The waitress told us to follow her, and we were seated and was told to enjoy (I should have gotten her name). I tried to stay positive and was grateful that we were seated immediately. We even admired the giant pictures on the walls and how awesome they were because they represented the 757. Like I said, we have never been before, so of course we had questions about the menu and everything. For 15 minutes we sat at our table waiting for someone to help us. Not one waitress was close enough for us to even flag down. There was a group of waitresses chatting at the other end of the room. The closest employee was the guy cleaning the table next to us. No one even took our drink order! During those 15 minutes, we watched as others were being seated and getting their drinks. We didn't want to waste time, so we just got up and left to eat elsewhere because we were really hungry (maybe it was a good thing too seeing that other people up here have said that they have waited for an hour. yikes!) We even lost our excitement to check the games out. The games will just have to wait some other time, but I'm not sure if it will be worth trying to dine in again.

I went on a double date with my boyfriend, cousin and her fiancé. We got there early to get a booth and I'm glad we did; it was packed. But even after it died down, we had a horrible dining experience. Neither the wait staff nor the bar was attentive. Average time for us to get a new round of drinks at our booth was 25-30 minutes and our food wasn't hot or extraordinary. Several times we went up to the bar while playing games and waited 20 minutes before we turned around and went to a beer stand instead. I was looking forward to going to Dave and Busters because other friends have raved about locations near them, but I'm not sure I will return to this one.

I love it here!!! Mainly because they now have my fav childhood game show...PRESS YOUR LUCK!! Wuuuuuuuuuuuuwhoooooooooooo!!! I saw this game and got super excited!!! Picture it as blackjack...some folk never leave the table. And in my case I played this game for about an hour...hooked!! Dave & Busters is a great time to be experienced by all ages. I last visited, July 28th...Sunday Funday!!! Fun indeed it was...it wasn't full to capacity but it was a great deal of folk there. I saw several parties going on and only saw one child crying. When I looked again about 10 minutes later she was asleep. So let's see out of about 250 people only 1 person was asleep...this place is great!!! heheheheehe Now the games are super fun, but the food...ummmm some of it wasn't so great yesterday. I had the salmon dinner with 2 sides. I asked for the broccoli WELL DONE, super soft. However, I received the opposite. Nevertheless, I ate it and it was definitely filling. My daughter had the chicken fingers (gold fingers is what they call them) and she indeed ate most of them. But I tried them to make sure they were ok for her to eat...they were salty!!!!!!!!!!!!! So they had to go back and the fresh batch came out just right. Now the nachos...so good!!! Seems like they were being stingy with the meat topping but I just looked at it as I don't NEED these anyway. I tried the million dollar margarita...so good!!! Well they brought the drink to the table in a shaker. My glass was chilled, salted and garnished...but no drink in it. So for about 10 seconds I looked at the empty glass and the waitress...back and forth. Then I said ummmmmmmmm I'm supposed pour my own drink!!! Interesting!!! Oh well...it was great!!!! But I always think when you go out and order food and dine in EVERYTHING IS PREPARED for you. Welp...now I know that's not always the case. Nevertheless, I didn't witness any games "out of order" that was a great thing. The prize line ...the staff moved it swiftly. But the food service was a bit slow. Winnings are for all age types...they are a bit pricey (tix), but I just look at it as you just have to play harder!!! I love a challenge :) But I would like to toot my babygirl's horn...she won a Bonus 750 tickets...in one spin!!! She spun the wheel...she didnt win 10, 50, 100, or 200...but the Bonus amount!!! Yeah, she's only 7, but shes great!!!! So yes...winning 1000 tickets, the jackpots, the bonuses...it's not impossible!!! If it's your first time, come out on Wednesday nights...half priced games!!! Definitely a family day outing, or GNO or bros night out...any group of people should definitely enjoy this venue. Now if the seniors don't mind the noise...bring them too :) Hv fun :)

This place has exceeded my expectations...the games were fabulous and there were lots of new games. Thanks D&B for keeping things functioning and up to date. I love the music selection, the atmosphere and the wait staff. Our waitress - Emmy, she was too cute and bubbly; she was very attentive and funny at times. :) I will be coming back for sure!

I know many people can't stand Dave and busters. But I always have a blast. Yes, it's costly to play their games. But, it's so much fun to have a night of being a child only in a grown up's body. And hey, their martinis and beer selection helps make the night even more fun than being at a chuck e cheese. Dave and busters is definitely a nostalgic experience. I remember going to chuck e cheeses when I was young and I always had a blast. Dave and busters is a chuck e cheese for grown ups. I always have a good time. I love their snow ball drinks. It's pretty strong. It's happy juice for adults. Also if a game is broken, don't be afraid to tell a Dave and busters employee. They are very helpful and they make sure to give you the token back. For example, my hubby and I were playing an alien shooting game and one of the guns were not working. I talked to an employee and they swiped their own card for the same game on a different machine. In fact, he gave us credit to play the game an additional 3 times. So don't be afraid to ask for assistance when your game of choice does not work!

There is a lot to consider when rating this place. The Food - I was there when they had the grand opening party before they officially open up the restaurant. The food was pretty good, and it did seem promising. I do visit the restaurant regularly, lately it's been once a month with a client. Usually get hamburgers on my trips there. I do think they are good, they have never failed at cooking the burger right (medium rate), and the fries are good. I've ordered the sweet potato fries, and they were good. Service - it's a pretty confusing system, or at least it seems like it would be. My client and I really don't know where should actually start for seating. We usually just sit and then wait or try to get someone's attention. I have read how the waiters aren't attentive, and this system probably isn't easy to work with. Outside of waiting after entering, service is usually pretty good. One thing, the menus do need to wiped clean. We received sticky menus the last time there Ambience - it might be a little difficult to talk...just a little. Perfect for a first date gone awkward. Kidding, it is great for a date but be prepared to repeat yourself a little. It's expected to be loud, and it might depend on where you sit too. I enjoy the ambience The games - they're pretty fun and legit. There are plenty of opportunities win a lot of tickets, and there are the games that barely spit tickets. You will see some of your favorite phone app games as arcade games, it's crazy cool. Overall it's great fun! Drinks and play! It's good for families, dates, bro time, girls night (maybe?), for kids...it's great for many occasions

It's Dave and Busters, so don't expect super star gourmet. Drinks at the bar were great though, and our bartender was incredibly friendly. Plus, it was happy hour so even better! Shared the spinach dip with a friend. Randomly came with salsa (definitely Pace)... Regardless, fun games, but of course prizes cost so many tickets...or I just really suck at winning them. Oh well!

Finally... After all the years of D&B commercials while watching WWE Monday Night Raw, I finally get to experience D&B. I love arcades. I love winning tickets. I love the thrill at having a casino-like experience without watching your money go down the drain so quick. Claw machines - it's not even about the stuffed toy. I just want to prove that I'm better than the employee who strategically placed those damn animals in place thinking we can't win them. Basketball - the Asian dude on YouTube made double arming the rock so easy. Football - I'm bound to set records. Work on the 20 point hole and you'll do just fine. The fishing game - oh holy ish!!! I felt like I won the lottery. 500 tickets... Twice!!! Mario Kart - it's the video game in real life version. This truly brings the kid out of me. I'm gunning for the pink gorilla worth 8500 tickets. I'm coming for you!!!

Writing this review about a month post-birthday celebration because I have yet to be contacted by headquarters or any other management for the bad service I received. The first time I visited this location (about a year ago), we had a blast. The food and drinks were great, our server was attentive and very friendly. Fast forward to April 25, we waited nearly 1 hour for a table before we finally gave up and seated ourselves in the bar area. We ordered food which then took over 30 min to come out, and two of the orders came out wrong. I ordered nachos, something I figured would be simple to put together and the meat on the chips came out cold. My friend ordered boneless wings and out came bone-in wings. We both ate off our friends' plates while we waited another 15-20 min for food to come back out. Food comes back out and my nachos are cold...again. I sent it back and because we had somewhere to be, I did not have time to stop and speak with a manager. I decided I would give D&B a call to complain and somehow the situation be rectified. I called the 888 number listed on their website and it rang and rang and rang. Left a message on another line that guarantees someone will call back the next business day---next day? No call. I called back today, 5/27. Exactly a month after calling twice and leaving messages--same thing. No answer. Safe to say, I will not be visiting this D&B any time soon.

A kid's dream. A grown man's playground. This is a great place for everyone to and out and have a great time. Men, women, children alike. Let loose in this arcade playground. Bring your kids here for hours of fun, don't forget your wallet though. Chill out with your guys or do a girls day with billiards, lunch/dinner, ticket winning games for awesome prizes and video games that are just flat out fun. Several games boost competition, like the 2 player shooting games and the driving games that are up to 4 players. come on 1/2 price Wednesdays for more chances to win tickets. 300,000+ tickets and you can win a gamin system like XBOX. They also have three rooms that can be rented out for private, parties, holiday get togethers, office holiday parties. These three rooms can also open up to one long room with wi-fi connectivity and drop down screens to show power point presentations or videos etc. Business or pleasure...come on down to Dave & Buster's.

My visit here on February 28th was my first time here, so I really wasn't sure of what to expect. I'd seen commercials for it, but hadn't really ventured out to come here. I heard it was okay from others at work too, so that's why I decided to give it a try. Being the first time, this was actually a bit confusing. There's a host stand as soon as you enter, but that stand there is only for purchasing credits for the arcade games that they have here, which was found out after waiting in line there. There's three sections to this place. One area is the arcade, another is the dining area, and the third is the bar area. For this visit, I was in the bar area. I didn't have any entrees on this visit. Instead, I had some appetizers and a soup. The two appetizers I had were the spinach dip and pretzel dogs. Both of these were really good, and would definitely get them again. For the soup, I had the tortilla soup. Although the soup was good, it was a bit different than I had expected. Overall though, it was good. For dessert, I had tried the Belgian chocolate fondue, which I really liked. Overall, the food was good. I'd categorize this place as an teens to adult playground with all of the arcade type games they have in this place. The arcade stuff definitely takes up the majority of this place. Be prepared for the place to be noisy and to have lots of bright lights around due to all of the games nearby. I'm not really sure what games they had though, as I really had no plans to play any of them on this visit.

Food is ok...drinks were weak. I got vodka sodas and the cup was mostly filled with ice and it was a short glass to begin with. I got there during happy hour so I got another and it was poured the same way...however it was happy hour so it was 50% off the drinks and I didn't complain .

5 stars for super duper fun games (I kill some frogger !) 1 star for service and food so total 3...I think that's how math works?? Haha I've tried to do the whole eat and play thing a couple times and it just doesn't work out...the food takes forever, is overpriced, and the service sucks! I will always love D&B for the games though. Having Adventure Time prizes is also a plus!! ^.^

Great food! Great game! What else could you ask for in a place like this! I got the buffalo burger which is basically like a dream burger for me and it lived up to the hype! The games all worked and were fun and thoroughly entertaining! Loved the real sized basket ball game and the star wars battle pod simulator

We went here for a friend's birthday a few weeks ago. So many things were done wrong that night. First, when making the reservation at the desk they got the name and number wrong, if the hostesses weren't sure then why didn't they confirm? Second, we finally got seated and ordered. One of our friends waited an hour to get her appetizer after we asked repeatedly. Our server did her best with what she could work with, and we understood that it was not her fault. However, when her appetizer did come the manager came to drop it off and said nothing. Usually a manager would say something like an apology right? Nope, just dropped it off and walked away. We had to wait a while with each food that came and had to ask several times about them. Everyone finally got theirs after about an hour. We ate our food, and that was fine. Like I said, our server did a great job with what she could. However the i organization of that place was awful. We asked to speak with the manager and the manager did not seem to know at all what he was doing. Sure, we got discounts but that wasn't the point of speaking with the manager, it was to show him how unorganized his staff was. After that we finished our food and went to play games. The bar was good, and the games were fine. It was near the end of the night so we went towards the room for prizes. I saw a sign that said closed but I also saw new people that kept walking in. So I asked the girl, "is it closed or open?" And she very rudely replied back "can't you read the sign it says closed." There are better ways to answer questions. We asked to speak with a manager hoping for a different one but it was the same one from the restaurant. I don't know if anything was done to change the way they run the business but with the way everything was handled, I don't see it changing much unless someone goes in there and takes charges to change things around. Will never go there for the restaurant, and I'm not even sure if we would go back for games. Hopefully this place gets better workers, or at the very least change their employee's attitudes, and hopefully the managers are trained more in depth in handling situations properly.

We had a work Christmas party here this past Sunday and it was a blast! The munchies we had were hot and tasty. I really liked the cheeseburger sliders and boneless bbq chicken strips. We each got a $15 gaming card. By mixing free games and ticketed games, it lasted for a couple of hours. I'll go back soon with the kids to try more of their menu and let the kiddos play. I can beat them at the old 80's games like Pac Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, and Donkey Kong while they kick my butt at Mario Kart. Family Fun shall be had by all.

I remember what seems like not that long ago I loved places like this. I could easily spend hours upon hours playing my ass off. I loved the games don't get me wrong but it was extreme sensory overload. The lights, the noise, the crowd. I felt like a cranky old lady by the time I left. The drinks are a pretty good deal on happy hour but kind of a rip off if it was not happy hour. I'm talking 10 bucks for a house vodka tonic. What the what?!?! This was a fun experience but I don't think I'll be back soon. Wednesday is half price game night which I thought was a good deal. Would be a good place for a party or date.

My company had our Xmas party here during the day. Note, this was my 1st time visiting DnB, EVER! PROS: - I liked the powercard concept versus the token coins - The powercards my company provided gave us unlimited gameplay on the arcade (non ticket prize) games - LOTS of prizes! They even had a PS4 for about 100K+ tickets CONS: - I LOVE video games but I'm pretty old-school. The only one I saw that I cared about was the Namco greatest hits one (had Dig Dug, Galaga, Mappy, etc.) - The selection of games overall was meh...Mostly driving games, shooting games and *shudder* Guitar Hero - They didn't have DDR but the crappy poser version with the arrows in the corners. I was disappointed that I couldn't give my co-workers a taste of my skills but on the other hand, they already think I'm weird so, whatever. - You have to EARN the prizes w/tickets...no buying them off with cash. Boo! CONCLUSION: Good place to go and kill time with a group of people but if you're going just to play video games, you'll be disappointed.

This place is great for games but don't eat here. The games remind me of a Vegas casino, full of life, sounds, and great music. But the food.... Not so much. Do not be fooled by the pictures on the menu. We ordered Loaded Tatot Tots that were hardly loaded. They had some kind of brown melted cheese sauce, a few fragments of bacon, and some scallions. When we sent it back to make it "loaded", we never saw our tots again. The manager was kind enough to remove it from the bill where we saw they had added an extra charge of $1.29 to add toppings to our tots. Seriously? They give us a mediocre serving and then charge us to fix it?? And the burger was supposed to have BBQ on top. But that was also missing. Disappointing.

If you plan to eat here before playing in the arcade, there's a decent selection of food choices, but the service was a little on the slow side. The arcade is quite fun, but a bit small considering the amount of people that regularly pack this place. They could certainly use more of the perennial favourites: skee-ball, air hockey, etc. The 4-way air hockey table was a nice touch, and a blast to play! Also, it would be great if after a certain hour (say 8 or 9 pm) it was ages 21+ only. This isn't Chuck E. Cheese, it's supposed to be the adult version so those of us who don't have kids or don't want to be around them can go and have fun.

Just okay. Service is awkward as you have to seat yourself and servers take far too long to notice. Food just mediocre because burgers and other items are generic. The kitchen is the weakness. But kids enjoyed the gaming.

Dave & Buster's is located inside of Lynnhaven Mall. I went to play arcade basketball and watch sports. This location is very spacious. There are a lot of games, pool tables, televisions, and kiosk to recharge your cards. I had a lot of fun playing arcade basketball as usual. The bar area has a ton of TVs. It's the perfect place to watch different games at one time. I wish the Dave & Buster's in Richmond was this spacious. I definitely will be back next time I'm visiting Virginia Beach.

This is a nice D&B except for the fact that there are alot of unprofessional, unkind teenagers/young early 20s people working there. The only kind staff are the waiters in the restaurant, not the hostess at the restaurant, not the ticket counter people, and not the game associates. It's an average (if not smaller than some I've been to) size location. The restaurant has TV's and it can be kind of loud. Other locations I've been to have the restaurant kind of blocked off so you can have a nice quiet dinner before or after gaming, if one chooses to. It's kind of right by the bar at this location. This location is fairly new so it is still on the nicer and newer side. Other than that, just don't expect to have good customer service. I've been here a handful of times and the experience is always the same for me.

The only reason I'm posting here is because I'm the best Big Buck Hunter in Virginia Beach. I have the only perfect game on the old BBH and my initials, AAM, are sprayed all over the top ten leaderboards while being #1 on each animal. I live in California now but next time I come to visit, I'm going to put more AAMs on the leaderboard. I play this game so much that I use the abbreviation BBH. Don't let the employee's sight the rifle, they will do a terrible job. One of them tried telling me that the rifle isn't real and won't sight perfectly. I pictured myself slapping his glasses off of his face, dropping to one knee, then sighting the rifle perfectly. Instead, I skipped the slapping part and dropped to one knee, then sighted the rifle perfectly. My buddy's initials are BMC and don't MWU (mess with us) *PRO TIP* Pregame hard so you only have to order one beer. And don't keep the tickets you earn, give them to a kid - they mean so much more to kids.

The food was ok!! It wasn't hot when the waiter brought it. It was warm and loaded with sodium. The service was not that good considering there wasn't much people to be served. The place was pretty much empty but for some reason I wasn't able to get me glass refilled when needed!!! That's all considering I was within view of the bar the waiter came by once to ask if I needed a refill. So I ended up asking for another drink.

This place has the most inattentive staff I've ever had the displeasure to know. I went in and there two young women at the counter. I was looking for a party (private event). One young woman was attending to a man with a complaint and she was clearly incompetent. The other was tearing tickets. She looked up at me, looked at the man and kept tearing tickets. Not once did she acknowledge me. In fact, she didn't speak at all. Perhaps she was a deaf-mute. And what's with the weirdly perfumed smell of that place? I left and will never return.

3.5 stars for me. Take a menu comparable to that of maybe Applebee's or Chili's, throw in a bunch of TVs, flashing lights, and games... And I guess you can call that Dave & Buster's. I have checked-in to D&B 4 times now and snagged a spot at the bar area each time. I've ordered beer every visit, but I've only ordered a meal once. My second visit here I had intentions to eat at a table since there was a handful of us, but a server never came around. We ended up going straight to the games and just getting drinks at the bar. Rumor was that servers were still trying to learn the ropes, so the poor service of that particular night was no surprise. My most recent check-in, my cousins managed to get a big table and a server. She was very attentive and helpful, so kudos to her for not falling under the rumored poor service category. We all had different entrees and everyone was content with their meals. I went with the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and a side of fries. It wasn't bad, but it was nothing extraordinary. There was no "wow" moment for me. The beer prices are that of a typical chain restaurant. Depending on the type of beer, towers are about $15 to fill halfway (with a party of at least 2) and around $30 to fill completely (with a party of at least 4). A lot of the games were fun and addicting. They have enough game varieties to please all, including some classics such as Pac-Man. It was also wild to see that successful app store games like Temple Run and Fruit Ninja are now available as full on arcade games. It really is a run for your money though because the majority of the games have ticket rewards that you can turn in for prizes. I don't know the money-to-tokens-to-tickets conversion and I'm sure nobody really takes time to break that down, which is pretty genius business wise. Competitive fun against your buddies is always a plus! I know we enjoyed it. And people will pay to win. I just hope it doesn't become "played out." I've heard that other D&B locations constantly update their games and replace the ones not getting much play. Hopefully this location will do the same to keep this spot afloat. I joined the free rewards membership, which I suggest if you think you'd come back often. I'll more than likely have more visits here to see what's been updated.

It's about time Virginia Beach got a Dave and Buster's. I've always thought it was strange they didn't have one since moving here about 7 years ago. This is a great location at Lynnhaven Mall where the old furniture store used to be near Dick's and Barnes and Noble. It's brand new and it shows. Everything is shiny and fresh. Because it's only been open for less than a month it's the place to be and it gets REALLY crowded on weekends with large waits to use games or play specific stuff and it also becomes difficult to walk around because the spaces between games are not often large under normal circumstances and when people are all lined up it gets even worse. Still, it was fun to visit on a busy Saturday last weekend while at the mall for a few other errands for an hour. If you keep your card you can use it over and over again and keep the points you've paid for. I think they now also credit your ticket balance onto the card too, which is pretty cool. Fun fun fun!

Food is better than average bar food but service has been consistently terrible. We've eaten here a few times because they have some combo meals under $16 and you get a $10 game card. There is fee for the initial card but once you get a card, it can be reloaded. You can also upgrade the game card deal. Every time we've come, there has been a wait for anyone to acknowledge us. We usually sit near the bar so I know they see us. I noticed this last visit they've started putting the menus on the tables so at least you can look at that while you wait. I also have to say it doesn't matter how busy they are, there is always a wait. You'll wait forever for someone to come to the table. You'll wait for your drinks, even just tea and water. You'll wait for your food. They might check on you, they might not. You will wait a ridiculous amount of time for your check and for them to pick up your payment. I'll have to hand it to them, they are consistent. So have a snack before you leave home. It is a fun outing for your teens.

I had a little time to kill before a movie so I decided to stop in and grab some lunch and play some games. It had been many years since I was last at a D&B so I was pretty excited. I assume that since I have grown up that I have lost a little of my enthusiasm. I get there from inside the mall and there is a sign that says to use other entrance so I walk through the place and then come to the other counter. I really had no idea what to say since I wanted to eat and get a few bucks for games. I think that most people must know exactly what to do since the people just expected me to tell them exactly what I wanted. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and it was pretty decent. The fries that came with it were good too. The game selection was large but I blew through the game card pretty quick and was kind of confused by the money process.

We weren't given a wait time because they don't do that. We were seated promptly. We then waited 10-15 mins for a server to finally come up and ask if we had been helped. That was still cool with us. We get our drinks and order appetizers. The wrong app was brought to our table. Then another order was sent to us by mistake. We finally get our real order quickly followed by the main course. My spouse orders a burger that came with tots. A decorative frying basket was placed on his plate with the tags still on it. Tacky.

My girlfriend surprised me here a year ago when I had no clue that D&B was in HRVA. now, we are regulars. The food is ok, but the drinks are always great. The bartenders make sure the drinks are strong and have no qualms about letting you taste. The games are pretty varied and make sure to change out every few months. It's a little expensive here, but Wednesday is the best day to come as you get half off the price of each game. The prizes are the worst part, with nothing bring worth the price of what you pay for them. However, now they let you use the points toward food, which is significantly more worth it. Try it on a Wednesday only and you won't be disappointed!

I had a blast at the arcade!! Definitely upgrade for a couple bucks when you are liading the card. It's worth it! The wet bar near the ticket prize area is cheaper than the actual bar. $4 for all beer. $4.35-$5 for the same beer at the regular bar. I didn't eat food this time. So I can't speak on the food. I spent $29 on a game card and still have points left after 2.5 hrs. Basketball game is sweeettt!! Some of the games are definitely a ripoff. Some are a decent value. It's like a big kids chuck e cheese. I didn't like it when there were a bunch of kids in there. So after 10 the kids moved out and became less crowded. A cool place to go on a date. But mixed drinks are a little expensive.

The kiddos had a great time! Just enough games for both of them, ages 2 & 6. I really want to commend Dean. I was trying to load my card with cash and the machine did not credit my money. Dean stayed with me until I retrieved my money and he made sure my card loaded correctly. While waiting, he gave both kids tokens to play a game and keep them occupied. We'll definitely be back!!

Great time for family or date night. We used a coupon, but $20 and get $20 free, we (2 adults played for over an hour). I like that you can let your ticket count accumulate on your card, instead of having o pick or prizes every time. Tv's all had the basketball game playing. Dining is available, but we're didn't choose to eat this time. The hubby mentioned the ribs were really good from a previous visit. Half off games Wednesday night's.

HATE HATE HATE that an ADULT entertainment restaurant is overran by sticky-fingered, noisy little booger snatchers at all hours of the night!! I've been to the D&B in Hawaii and I preferred their, "No persons under 21 unless escorted by a 25yrd old" rule. You cant play many of the more popular games on a weekend night without having to wait in a Coney Island like line or jostled around by the hordes of ankle biters running around without supervision. I cant enjoy a nice mixed drink while playing games without having to worry about somebody's child sneaking off with my drink. An hour + wait for a table with no call ahead nor reservations for average food is also a MAJOR turn off. I can say that their wait staff is very well trained and seem like they genuinely care about the service they provide. However, I'll be sure not to visit this place on the weekends.

This is a great place. The staff is very friendly, the food is awesome, and it's really fun.

I like this place because it makes me feel like a kid again, however it is a little sensory overload. Nothing exciting about the food.

The flashing lights, walking around with a cocktail in hand, and a simple button could bring you both INSTANT beverage and game service. The only difference between this place and a casino is probably the screaming kids, not being able to smoke indoors, and that $27 could last up to 3+ hours of "play time." Did I mention that was split between 2 people? I met my friends in the bar area with an appetite. We grabbed a high table and after waiting 20 minutes for someone to greet us, we decided our hunger was less important than the games that surrounded us. I wish I could say the service in the food/bar area was as impressive as the gaming area. I discovered the service button on accident when an employee approached me and asked if I needed help because I pressed the button. I asked what he meant and he pointed to the button that clearly lit up "game service" and beside it "beverage service." As far as games go, the selection is great for all ages. Waiting also was not an issue as I thought it would be because it is summer time and kids are not in school. I noticed they also have at least 2 of each game which also helps with minimizing wait time and/or creating lines. I only had one time that I needed assistance and a staff member appeared as soon as I pressed the button. The best part? He offered me the opportunity to either play the game that did not read my card OR choose any game I wanted AND he could also swipe in my friends for all of us to play together. Of course, I did the latter. My motto is always the more the merrier! Main points- 1. bar does not offer what is on menu. bartender actually told me that the menu is very generic... 2. rumor is that wait time for food is up to 1 hour. rumor is correct. I didn't even get a menu nor was I greeted after 20 minutes after being told to seat myself 3. The survey on your receipt asks a lot about the sports environment. UHHH They have a lot of TV's in the bar area but may not be worth it for the poor service. 4. Beware: they have no windows. Wear a watch. $27 goes farther than you think.. 5. Later in the night, you must be 18+ 6. As far as safety goes, it was nice to see security walking around and you are asked for ID at the door. 7. Take advantage of their deals. The card, which is refillable also has a $2 activation fee. You need a card to swipe to play at each game.

The food was horrible and I only ordered a Caesar side salad and they send me a chicken Caesar meal. I figured why not I'll eat it but the chicken was a dry chicken patty and the lettuce was wilted. The place was over run by little kids when I thought this place was supposed to be more for adults and the kids were brats. There really needs to be an age limit or a curfew seriously 11 pm at night there shouldn't be little kids still running around.

The food here sucks, and then customer service in the dining area is worse. Avoid getting any of their mixed drinks as they use cheap alcohol but charge a premium price. If it wasn't for Derby Owners Club we wouldn't even visit this location.

This is a great place to take the family or a date! This is the best arcade I've been too! It out does ESPN's restaurant/arcade. The food quality could use a little improvement but other than that it's a great place to go

The arcade experience is 5 star!! Prepare to blow through $50 in under an hour!! It is a fun place for kids and adults and a great place to sit at the bar while the kids play games. The food was awful - the service definitely lackluster - taking off stars for service. Dirty tables sat for some time after diners left (one table for over an hour) while I watched servers mill around aimlessly and even the manager looking at his cell phone with other employees. Servers didn't even clear dirty plates.... Definitely need training in customer service and experience. They've got a few killer food / game deals that just make sense, especially if you have kids. A great place to watch sports, play pool and have fun! Though they still have some work to do on the guest service side, D&B is a must do, especially if you have kids that appreciate arcades!! Actually, we love the arcade too, makes you feel like you're in Vegas (sort of) for a lot less money!

Lousy service! The dinning area was maybe a third full. We sat ourselves and waited to be greeted, but after 15 minutes of being ignored we left. While we waited we noticed several dirty tables that never got cleaned, other parties anxiously awaited on their slow servers, and the place was understaffed. For an early Monday afternoon it was a disappointing visit. Don't plan on going back!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! As soon as I walked in I felt like I was in Vegas! I had lunch with my friends and everything was very good for being a place mainly for entertainment. The bar and the drinks were great too!! The games were awesome - a big screen Connect 4! A four way air hockey! It has literally all the bells and whistles! I can't wait to come back and have a birthday party for one of my kids - they will be in heaven! :)

DON'T EAT HERE! I got food poisoning! The games are good and so are the drinks, but both times my boyfriend and I went we were not satisfied with our food, and this last visit I ate a salad and then had to go to the bathroom to throw it up. I ended up going to the hospital later and they said I didn't have a virus, so it must have been the food I got from here. I called the health department and they said without a stool sample I can't claim food poisoning, even though the hospital verified that it was the food from here that caused me to get sick. The only way I recommend eating here is if you are bulimic and like to throw up.

We walked in and were waited on immediately. Then the waitress took forever and a day to bring us our drinks. Our food was cold when our waitress brought it out had an attitude. Never ever coming here again! What a way to spend my birthday weekend! Smh

Went with my family to D&B, enjoyed the arcade but could have passed on the food. I am confident I will go back there but I am even more confident I will pass on eating dinner there.

I really don't like Dave & Buster food. That past few times the food was not good. But tonight surprisingly, my food was great. I got a philly steak & cheese burger with fries. It was sooooo good. Either that or I was just hungry as crap lol. Also had a shizzle. Was really good.

Horrible experience yesterday! We were there with a party of about 12 for a kids birthday party. We had reservations, but it took 2 hrs to be seated. It was a Saturday, so we were ok with that. Once we were seated, every table in our section was dirty, with food, drinks and tips left from the previous guests. It took 30 min for someone to clean our tables. A waiter finally came to take our drinks and food orders. My wife & I ordered nachos to share. I asked the waiter if the nachos come with a lot of cheese, he said "they look just like the picture, & I will make sure they put lots of cheese on them". The drinks took about 20 mins to come out and then another 30 mins for the food. The nachos were cold and had absolutely No Cheese on them. All the toppings & no freakin' cheese!!! The main component of nachos is cheese, duh! When the waiter came back 15 min later, I told him there was no cheese on the nachos, he said he would get us a side of cheese, by the time he got back everyone in our party was finished eating. Mind you, the whole time we were there, no one in our party received silverware or napkins! Over an hour & a half & no silverware or napkins! Luckily everyone had finger foods. So, my wife reaches in her purse and hands baby wipes out to everyone in our party because we were brought our checks and still never received napkins. The experience was horrible, I will never dine there again & I'm going to put the waiter on blast; his name was Zack #908859/Check #6383. I don't typically do this, but I wasted 4 hours of my valuable time on a Saturday for mediocre service. Needless to say, he didn't get a tip.

Thank god for the games because service here is horrific!!! I hate coming here every single time and standing at the bar watching 4 waiters/waitresses standing around talking while I am waiting 5 min just to order a drink. The food and all is great but terrible terrible service from waitstaff!!!

When it's not suffocating from hordes of kids this place is pretty fun, I love the 4d horror game they have as well (it's the best game in the whole arcade actually) they offer a lot of different games for kids & adults, the bar area is always packed in weekends, the dining room is pretty average foodwise...the service is slow so eat before you get here...that is unless you don't mind waiting a long time to order/eat.

I was a huge fan of this place in Philadelphia - and I still have high hopes for this location. The staff was not on point (but perhaps they're just not properly trained - they did JUST open). And the place was overrun by bratty kids and parents who didn't seem to notice/care. Hopefully the high prices drive the families away after the initial appeal wears off, because the food is great and the games make it a uniquely fun time.

I loved the vibe I received when I entered the place. My boyfriend and I wanted to eat in the dining room area but we were told it was a 2 hour wait. Therefore, the waitresses suggested we eat in the bar area, WHICH THEY ALLOW KIDS IN. Pretty Unsat to me. One of the servers approached our table as soon as we sat down, we thought we were going to have that outstanding service the entire time...little did we know he was just helping out our server we were about to get. Her name was Nicole I believe, anyway she was horrible. We didn't get asked drink orders, we didn't have silverware for a few minutes after our food arrived, she checked on our table ONCE after the meal was brought out, and I had to ask another server for our check. Our plates and our drinks were empty for a while before she suggested dessert after I already asked another server to provide me with my check. TOO many kids during the day as well! Parents aren't watching their children and literally letting them run around the place, no manners saying excuse me or anything. I understand it's a family environment, but there is no excuse to why you should let your child run wild. This place needs more enforcement and management should have a better eye on managing some employees, or even checking on people who are there to make sure everything is going well on their visit. First impressions mean ALOT!

Place is disgusting. Needs a good thorough cleaning. Menus were sticky, tables were sticky, just had an overall gross feeling about it. Food itself was meh... Definitely would NOT go back. Plus, atmosphere is sooooo loud.

Dave and Busters is great! I went to the friends and family day before it opened. They have obviously put a lot of effort into making the staff extremely customer service oriented. The food was fantastic. The games are cool. It's definitely a sensory overload. It is going to be very popular. Start saving to take the family. I imagine those games could get quite expensive.

Finally D&B has made it to Hampton Roads. My mini me's and I attended on a weekday for a playdate. The customer service begins and ends with the doorman. The gentleman at the door was very warm and conversational upon entering. The games are as awesome as any Dave and Buster's. However, the customer service from the staff and manager leaves much to be desired. Also, it took forever for our table to be cleaned after eating. May return if the kids insist but otherwise....I'll pass on this location

wish there was a 3.5 star... went on a Saturday night to meet up with work folks, who also brought their kids. place was packed, and very loud. had a beer and the Calamari appetizer, good amount for the price. (people that say food is awful... what do you expect for bar food? seriously?) decent selection of beers on tap. Wait Staff did a great job. games seemed like the big draw, lots of folks having a blast. only reasons for no 4-5 stars: would have liked if the website menu/yelp menu had prices. tv screens are great, though too many show the same thing. do recommend, hear it is less crowded/noisy during the week. still a great time had by all. checking out coupons on website before going is a must!

We decided to go here as a family with the kids before my husband deployed (never been before). As we entered the girl at the front desk was gossiping with someone and we had no idea what to do or where to go. She asked if we planned on eating and we said yes then she told us to go to the left, went to left the dining area was closed and was told to go near the bar. Okay no biggie, we sat down in a booth and waiting about ten mins no one came to us, I noticed menus were hanging in a spot so I grabbed a few and took back to the booth. Five mins later we were greeted and asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our orders and got our drinks quickly but not my kids drinks, the guy had forgotten and got it 5 mins later after I reminded him. I decided to place my order then to make sure the waiter got it and we weren't waiting another ten mins to order. 15 mins later we got our food. Our nachos were cold and had to wait 5 mins to ask for plates and utensils. The guy forgot again that we asked for them and I got another person to get them. When we were done it still took forever to get check and then forever to have the server process our payment. I felt so bad since it wasnt a good experience for the night before my husband deployed. The kids loved the games but will not go to eat or drink again. We only stayed for ten mins afterwards since it took so long for us to sit and get our dining done. Horrible service.

D&B had a VIP event day before the official opening day for the new employees and their family and friends. Luckily, my Uncle's one of the many employees of D&B and gave me a VIP pass for 2. (FYI.... the VIP pass included a free appetizer, 2 free entrees, free drinks (excluding alcohol) and TWO FREE $10 POWER CARDS!) I took my Dad with me and had a great time! The inside's nice and the employees are helpful. We sat in the open area and were greeted by our waitress Anya. She informed us of what appetizer was good and we ended up getting the Mountain O'Nachos. As for the entrees, I picked the Turkey Burger with Applewood Smoked Bacon and my Dad picked the Steak Salad. When the appetizer arrived I was surprised to how HUGE it was! Well for my Dad and I it was, but I think it's the perfect size for a party of 4. It was hecka good! That filled me up to the point that I didn't want my entree anymore. Haha! On the other-hand, I wasn't pleased with the entrees. They weren't bad, but they weren't great either. I was a bit disappointed, but since everything was free.... I wasn't complaining! After dinner, Anya gave us our power cards. We were super excited to play! The games are mad fun! Also, the staff were amazing. They were more than helpful! Long story short: Food - 3 stars (would like more options) Games - 4 stars Service - 4 stars Staff - 4.5 stars (A few servers were clueless about which table is which, but most of them did a job well done)

First time at a D&B location was this one, I would say that I think their food wasn't the greatest, good drink selection with OK pricing and mediocre service, especially for being a very off time and the ONLY patrons in the bar area during the time of visit.

Since I can only speak from the point of view of the arcade, then I will give this 5 stars. The game room is huge and offers some of the best games out there. Me and my brother went in there and played the dancing game for 2 hours and drew a crowd to watch us play. The other games look gorgeous!!!

Fantastic menu, great food, awesome games. Yes on the weekends there is a line, but you get in fairly quickly. 4 star for me, could've trained the waiter/waitresses before hand but they are learning quick.

I went here for the first time for my anniversary in September and we had such a good time. We decided to come back with all of our friends for football Sunday and we had a wonderful waitress her name was Virginia. Perfect personality, great knowledge of the menu and very attentive. My only complaint is GET A PAGER SYSTEM!! Hearing " __ party of 2 your table is ready. " every 5 minutes over the loud intercom is nothing but annoying. It interrupted our conversation every 5 minutes or so and seemed to annoy everyone else around us too.
